Nigerian musician, Afeez Adeshina Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has reacted to the bloodshed in Ondo State on Sunday.
Naija News reports that a supposed celebration Sunday service turned bloody and sour today after residents watched helplessly their beloved lying in dead following an attack by gunmen at the St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, in the Owo Local Government Area of the state.
Reports had emerged earlier that the terrorists detonated explosives at the worship centre killing an uncertain number of people while leaving many badly injured.
An eyewitness Kehinde Ogunkorode who spoke with Daily Post earlier revealed that the incident caused chaos in the vicinity.
He stated that residents flee for safety after being caught off guard.
Reacting to the incident, Naira Marley took to his social media page, Twitter precisely and wrote: “Owo massacre, so sadddd”.
Naija News understands that Owo is the hometown of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
Gory videos of the Sunday morning incident have circulated on the internet, creating a barrage of reactions.
Signs of gunshots wound were seen on some of the bodies while some appeared to have been killed with a different weapon.
Naija News learnt that some residents of the area who fled during the attack have not returned to their homes for fear of the gunmen returning to the area.
