The foremost Elitist Sports Club in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, came alive over the weekend as the newly elected Executive Members and Leadership of the Club was formally inaugurated on Saturday for a 2-Year Term in Office.
The new President Mr. Ifedayo Akindoju, who also is the President of the Nigerian Lawn Tennis Federation, promised to embark upon massive infrastructural rehabilitation and aggressive membership drive with an upper limit to prevent overstretching the capacity of facilities, while building on the legacies of his Predecessor.
It would be recalled that the Great Green Parrot (youtHouse reporters) recently reported the emergence of Prof. Dickson A. O. Akoh as the Social / Publicity Secretary of the Country Club.
When interviewed by the youtHouse reporters, Prof. Akoh who is equally the National Commandant of the legendary Peace Corps of Nigeria, and also Board of Trustees Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, stated that he would bring his vast experiences to bear towards enhancing the Social life and Public Image of the Club, to attract more patronage and resources.
The night was fun-full as Members and Guests were thrilled with assorted drinks, food and dance sessions till late hours of the night.
Most Members and Guests interviewed expressed strong confidence in the new leadership to turn the fortune of the Club around for better.
