Airstrike of the military around Baranda forest in Zamfara State has killed five bandit kingpins and 26 others.
The Nigerian Air Force eliminated the terrorists during the raid on forests housing the terrorists in Zamfara.
According to PR Nigeria, the terrorists which were loyal to a notorious bandit chief identified as Abu Redde were killed during the raid.
They were identified as Hussaini Rabe, Murtala Sabe, Basiru Nasiru, Sama, and Isah.
Sources that spoke on the development disclosed that the raid of the NAF in recent times has led to the death of the terrorists and their hideouts destroyed.
A local asset who spoke on condition of anonymity said the attack on Tsaunin Sani Forest in Yantumaki district of Danmusa Local Government Area (LGA), led to the death of over 26 bandits.
He disclosed that the airstrike destroyed 13 motorcycles.
He further stated, “Credible local sources also revealed that bandits have turned Dumburum village of Zurmi LGA as their treatment Centre where wounded bandits go for treatment.”
