Micro-Projects in Ede: A Glimpse into Governor Adeleke’s Development Initiatives – Hon. Ajayi

Governor Adeleke’s administration has successfully commissioned a series of micro-projects facilitated by the Osun State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) as part of the Osun CARES initiative. The projects, which were formally commissioned in four different communities in Ede, include the renovation of health centers, rehabilitation of maternity centers, and drilling of boreholes.

Alhaji Ganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa, the Honourable Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs, represented the Governor at the event in Ede, alongside top government officials, and stakeholders from the Ministry of Rural Development and Community Affairs.

Adressing the Press, Hon. Gbenga Ajayi, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on CSDA, said the initiatives set forth by the Executive Governor thus reflect an astute understanding of the contemporary drivers of economic development and poverty reduction.

“More ambitiously, the long-term benefits of this Micro-projects extend beyond immediate relief for the indigenous communities”.

“The construction of Micro-Projects for local communities in Osun State is not just a strategic move but a testament to ethical leadership and a beacon of hope for the afflicted. While challenges remain, it’s incumbent upon the state and the global community to support such noble initiatives. The resolve demonstrated by Governor Adeleke in addressing this humanitarian crisis helps chart a course for a more resilient and harmonious Osun State” he said

In his welcoming address, Alhaji Olaoluwa commended Governor Adeleke for his commitment to rural development and the improvement of basic infrastructure across Osun State.

He noted that the Governor’s interventions have significantly impacted communities statewide, contrasting the current administration’s efforts with the shortcomings of the previous government.

The Micro-projects commissioned are:

  1. Aiyilara Community: Renovation of Health Centre.
  2. Wakajaye Community: Renovation of Maternity Centre.
  3. Agesinjaweifa Community: Drilling of Reticulated Borehole.
  4. Inugedu Community: Drilling of Reticulated Borehole.
