A speeding vehicle has reportedly killed multiple people after crashing into Oye-Agu Market in Abagana, Njikoka LGA, Anambra State.
Naija News gathered that the incident occurred at about 11:10 am on Wednesday, causing several items of the traders spilling on the road.
Although full details of the crash are yet to emerge, eyewitnesses reported significant damage to the market, with goods destroyed and many lives possibly lost.
A video circulating on social media captures the wreckage of a Sienna vehicle, along with the bodies of traders who were believed to have been fatally injured in the crash.
The Oye Agu Market is known for its roadside vendors, primarily selling food items. The video also shows damaged goods, including tomatoes and other produce, scattered across the scene.
The President-General of the Abagana Community, Ben Okongwu, confirmed the incident to journalists, revealing that at least three people, including an under-aged child, lost their lives in the crash.
