The Nigerian environment, in our opinion, is not yet fully ripe for purely online delivery without the hands-on part of education. To be relevant in this day and age, students must have products to sell to the rest of the world. Paper qualifications alone will not suffice for Nigerians.

With the advent of AI, purely online education could put our youths at a disadvantage, allowing anyone to submit assignments generated by AI without developing their critical thinking abilities. Having a real, on-the-ground provision with quality lecturers is the only way forward, at least for now. We urge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima to support
