Nigerian singer, Lekan Osifeso Jr., popularly known as Lojay, has explained the nature of his relationship with Folashade Adeleke, daughter of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
The singer made it clear during a recent interview that his bond with Folashade is purely friendship.
Naija News reports that the Falling crooner debunked reports that he was romantically involved with Folashade who is a cousin to Afrobeats singer Davido.
He described her as someone very close to him and part of his inner circle but maintained that there is no romantic connection between them.
Lojay also shared that he is not in a position to pursue a relationship at the moment.
According to him, taking time to heal and focus on personal growth is important, which is why he is choosing to remain single for now.
He said: “Fola is literally my best friend. From the very first day I met her, I just knew she was different. She’s the only woman in the 30BG crew, and she holds it down for everybody. Since then, we just clicked and have been good friends ever since.
“Unfortunately for me, I’m not ready for a relationship yet. Some people assume that means you’re messing around, but that’s not my reality. Sometimes, people genuinely need time to heal from past experiences, and that’s where I am right now.”
