While no official bid has been tabled yet, renowned transfer insider, David Ornstein, reported on Tuesday that the Reds have signalled their intent to bring Isak to Anfield. However, Newcastle have stressed that the 25-year-old is not for sale.
Isak, who has dazzled at St. James’ Park since his £60 million switch from Real Sociedad, is coming off an outstanding season in which he scored 27 goals in 42 appearances.
His contributions fired Newcastle to a fifth-place finish and a Champions League spot. Across all competitions, he has racked up 62 goals in 109 appearances for the Magpies.
