Leicester Defeats Man City To Win Community Shield

Leicester City has been crowned this year’s community shield winners after defeating Manchester City.

Naija News reports that an 89th penalty goal by Kelechi Iheanacho helped Leicester to defeat Pep Guardiola’s side in the game played on Saturday evening.

Community Shield is an English football’s annual match that is contested at Wembley Stadium between the champions of the previous Premier League season and the holders of the FA Cup.

It was the first time in 50 years that Leicester City have won the trophy – traditionally the first title of every season.
