1. Biafra: Why I Am Now Happy With Nigerians – Nnamdi Kanu
The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has expressed happiness with Nigerians.
In an audio interview he granted on Thursday, the IPOB leader stated that the unity Nigerians displeasure in condemning President Muhammadu Buhari gives him joy.
He also commended Nigerians for slamming the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami over his comparison of spare parts dealing to open grazing farming.
Nnamdi Kanu pointed out that Nigerians were united with the Igbos after Buhari made genocidal war threats against southeast youths.
2. Apostle Suleiman Cautions FG For Going After IPOB While Leaving Herdsmen
The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries (OFM), Apostle Johnson Suleiman has cautioned the Federal government over its plans to go after IPOB members.
The clergyman took to his Instagram page this morning pondering on the reason why the Federal Government of Nigeria plans to go after IPOB members whilst leaving Killer herdsmen.
He also went further to differentiate the two groups revealing which creates more havoc in the country.
He said that IPOB may have no one to speak for them but have God, warning that the government tread with caution.
3. Allow Igbo Have Biafra, CNG Tells N/Assembly
The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has urged the National Assembly to suspend the ongoing constitution review to enable Government organise a referendum on actualisation of a Biafra Republic.
Addressing journalists on Thursday in Abuja, CNG Spokesman, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, said that the appeal became necessary due to the unrelenting disturbances by IPOB in the form of the agitation for a separate State of Biafra, had turned violent.
It also urged the National Assembly to invoke the doctrine of necessity to organise a Biafra referendum as the final step towards the separation of the Igbo from the rest of Nigeria.
4. IPOB Alleges House-To-House Abduction Of South-East Youths
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has said neither its group nor its security outfit, Eastern Security Network, has had any form of confrontation with security operatives in any part of the country as alleged by the government and security agencies.
The separatist while denying any involvement in the killing of 128 security personnel in Imo State, alleged that security operatives are carrying out house-to-house abduction and killing of youths in the South-East to incriminate its group.
Naija News understands that the group’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, in a statement, accused the Nigerian Army and other security agencies of desperately ploting to incriminate IPOB and ESN to justify the continued extrajudicial killings of their members.
