Former Oyo State Governor, Rashidi Ladoja on Sunday meet with the father of a former speaker of the House of Representatives, Alani Bankole.
Naija News reports that the meeting which was behind closed-doors was held at Bankole’s Abeokuta’s residence.
The meeting which may be connected to the 2023 election ended at around 5:00pm in Sunday evening.
Speaking to newsmen after the meeting, Ladoja stated that the visit was a normal visit to his brother.
Ladoja disclosed that him and the elder Bankole have left partisan politics for the younger generation.
He however charged the youths in the country to be politically active in the coming 2023 general election.
He said “I came to visit my brother. It was a usual visit. I have quit partisan politics and my brother (Bankole ) had left partisan politics
“One needs to quit when the ovation is loudest for the young ones.”
Recall that Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning, Mai Mala Buni and two other governors had last week met with some leaders in the South-West, including Ladoja and ex-speaker Bankole.
