A farmer identified as Mufutau Adekola has been remanded in Oke-Kura Correctional Centre by a Magistrates’ Court in Ilorin for allegedly killing his mother and brother.
The state police command charged the suspect with culpable homicide contrary to the provisions of Section 221 of the Penal Code Law.
The Prosecution Counsel, Insp Folorunsho Zacheaus, disclosed that Adekola attacked his mother, Rafatu and brother, Mukaila, while sleeping on March 9, at Oke-Ode in Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state.
Magistrate Ibrahim Dasuki, in his ruling ordered Adekola to be remand, pending the conclusion of the investigation.
Dasuki adjourned the case until April 25 for further mention.
In another report, a married woman identified as Mrs Patience Ibrahim has dragged her husband, Mr Talpha Atega, to a Customary Court in Jikwoyi, Abuja, for calling her a snake from the marine kingdom.
Atega told the court that her husband often referred to her as a snake and also fails in his responsibilities as a husband.
