The Chairman of the Northern Governors’Forum and Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, on Saturday, noted that the abducted students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanization in Kaduna State will soon be released.
Lalong stated this during his visit to the Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule on Saturday.
Governor Lalong while assuring an improved security situation in the country said, “We are very hopeful that at the end of the day, those students will be rescued.”
“We are raising consciousness and making people get alert at the insecurity. We are really putting every measure and very hopeful like the military has said, that in the next few months, everything will be over.”
This is coming after the kidnappers of the students in a video requested for a ransom of N500 million to release the students.
The abducted students in the video also pleaded with the government to come to their aid as their life is in danger.
