The Aguata Local Government Area headquarters, Anambra State, is currently under attack by arsonists believed to be gunmen in the South East.
Soludo who was recently sworn in hails from Aguata, Naija News reports.
The attack reportedly began on Thursday afternoon, Daily Post reports
The council Headquarters was set on fire by attackers, who are believed to be the same people that attacked the market in the council, Eke Ekwulobia.
When the spokesman of Anambra State Police Command DSP Ikenga Tochukwu was contacted by the publication concerning the situation he said: “following the report of the fire incident at the local government headquarters, the command has deployed men to the area and the situation has been brought under control.”
Ikenga also stated that the men of the Fire Service have arrived on the scene and are trying to get the situation under control.
