Arsenal and Italian midfielder, Jorginho believes that his teammate Bukayo Saka has the potential to win the prestigious Ballon d’Or in the future.
Jorginho, who joined Arsenal two summers ago from London rivals, Chelsea, described Bukayo Saka’s talent as “unbelievable” and labelled him a “world-class player.”
Jorginho emphasized his support for Saka during a recent interview on the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast, which took place ahead of a highly anticipated Premier League clash between Arsenal and Manchester United.
During the podcast, Jorginho shared his admiration for the England international, stating, “Unbelievable… world-class. I said to him, ‘I want to see you win the Ballon d’Or.’”
Jorginho stressed further that Saka possesses the necessary attributes to win the Ballon d’Or, adding, “I believe so [Saka is capable of winning the Ballon d’Or]. I hope he believes in himself as well.”
At just 23 years old, Saka has already made a significant impact in Premier League football, establishing himself as one of the most formidable attacking players since he made his debut for Arsenal’s first team in 2018.
His performances have garnered attention and praise, and he recently secured the 21st spot in the 2024 Ballon d’Or power rankings, indicating his rising trajectory within the sport.
