ISWAP Kill Notorious Boko Haram Commander, Insurgents

The insurgents of the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) have killed a wanted Commander of the Jamā’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihād, Ummate Ma.

Naija News learned that ISWAP fighters also killed some of the slain Boko Haram commanders’ fighters during a clash between the two rival groups.

According to Security Expert, Zagazola Makama, Ummate Ma also known as Muhamma, who was a Khayd (Governor), and several of his fighters were gunned down on June 1 in Borno State.

He stated that the Boko Haram commander was killed when  ISWAP terrorists launched an ambush on the Commander’s convoy at Mandara Mountain in the axis of Gwoza Local Government Area (LGA), on their way to Cameroon.

The ambush triggered a two-hour intense gun battle which resulted in the killing of scores of Boko Haram fighters.

The ISWAP-coordinated attack was believed to be in response to the killing of a senior Commander, Abou Sadiqou Buorubouru and several other terrorists who were ambushed recently by Boko Haram on the fringes of Mandara Mountain.

It was learned that slain Ummate Ma was the number 271 among the most-wanted terror kingpin on the list of the Nigerian Military.
