Investment Summit: Buhari Arrives In Saudi Arabia

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari on Monday arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia ahead of the Future Investment Initiative Institute conference.

The development was disclosed by the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.

According to Shehu, his principal arrived Saudi Arabia at about 11.50pm.

The spokesman further stated that Buhari was received at King Khalid International Airport by the Deputy Governor of Riyadh, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Abdulaziz.

Shehu said, “President Buhari, alongside other world leaders, will participate in the opening ceremony of the event on Tuesday and the three-day plenary sessions focused on the theme for the 5th edition of the summit, “Invest in Humanity.”

Recall that the presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, had said the Nigerian leader is scheduled to participate in the investment conference organized by the Future Investment Initiative Institute.

However, the President and some of his entourage departed the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja at about 4.10 p.m for Riyadh.

Buhari was joined on the presidential jet by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ibrahim Pantami, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Amb Zubairu Dada, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva.
