The planned training for bandits by Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province has been intercepted.
Security agencies in the country have been placed on alert to stop collaboration between the terrorists and the bandits attacking communities in the country.
According to information gathered, the bandits have been migrating from Zamfara State to attend the training organized by the terrorists in Borno State.
According to PRNigeria, the intel was contained in a circular with Reference Number NIS/HQ/CGI/943.
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) ordered its comptrollers to intensify surveillance in and around their areas of jurisdictions.
The Service charge its men to gather more information that would help apprehend the criminals.
The comptrollers are expected to forward workable intelligence to the office of the Comptroller General for action.
The memo, titled “Movement of Armed Bandits from Zamfara to Borno for Intensive Boko Haram Training”, was signed by Usman Auna, and Assistant Comptroller General.
ACG Auna urged state commands and formations, especially in North-West and North-East, to remain vigilant at all times.
