Former Kaduna Central lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has lamented the growing insecurity in many parts of Nigeria and its impact on innocent citizens.
He complained that Nigeria has now become a field where terrorist groups are now competing with one another for supremacy.
Sani in a Twitter post on Monday, listed the five terrorist groups operating and competing in Nigeria as ISWAP, Ansaru, Darussalam, Boko Haram and Bandits.
He wrote: “We have reached a point where five terror groups; Iswap, Ansaru, Darussalam, Boko Haram and Bandits are freely competing with each other for space and for the blood of the innocent.”

His submission comes as Nigerians are yet to recover from the sadness over the killings of worshippers on Sunday at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State.
Naija News earlier reported that unknown gunmen on Sunday attacked the catholic church and killed many worshippers just as the service was nearing its conclusion.
It was gathered that the gunmen detonated explosives before firing at the worshippers including women and children.
Reacting to the incident, President Muhammadu Buhari had stated that only demons from hell could have thought of carrying out such attacks and promised that the perpetrators would be caught and dealt with.
