The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has uploaded 2,290 results out of 4,519 polling units in the Edo State governorship election.
This translates to 50.67 per cent of the results from the election in the INEC Result Viewing Portal.
In other news, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Asue Ighodalo, has defeated the candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Olumide Akpata, at his (Akpata) polling unit.
According to the result announced at Polling Unit 11, Ward 06, Oredo Local Government Area, Ighodalo polled 41 votes while Akpata trailed with 32 votes.
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Monday Okpebholo, came third with 19 votes.
After casting his ballot earlier on Saturday, Ighodalo had boasted that he would win the governorship election by landslide.
