FUNMI-AYINKE Foundation, in partnership with the Queen of Nigeria Football Ondo State (MISS SUNSHINE FC), has distributed 6,500 Notebooks to School Children in Arigidi Akoko North West of Ondo State.
The Foundation, which is owned by a successful Administrator, Engr. (Dr.) Funmi Ayinke Waheed, has entered a strong packed with the Queen of Nigeria Football to render Humanitarian Services to the less Privileged across the State.
The event which coincided with the International Women’s Day Celebration, was well attended by various groups across the four Local Governments in Akoko, and also had the presence of top Traditional Rulers and Government Officials.
Represented by her mother, Dr. Funmi Ayinke stressed the importance of Mothers in the Society and the reason why the Female Child must be trained the same way as their Male counterpart.
She urged the School Children to focus on their studies and make their Parents proud while also contributing to the sustainability of Humanity.
The National Director of Programmes & Event of the Queen of Nigeria Football, speaking to the Student Representatives at the event, urged them to be serious with their studies so they can give back to the Society in like manner, within the nearest future.
The Zaki of Arigidi, Oba Yisa Olanipekun, who led some of his Chiefs to the Occassion, appreciated the gesture and noted that with more of Funmi Ayinke, there will be a turn around in the Society.
Also at the event was the representative of the Chairman of Akoko North West Local Government, Elder Ayodele Akande. The Youth Advancement Innitiative was equally represented, alongside the Akoko Progressive Movement, Akoko Youth Forum, and some Head Teachers of Schools.
