Bandit terrorists on Monday shot a former Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Ibrahim Wakkala during the attack on a Kaduna bound train.
Naija News gathered that Wakkala who sustained a gunshot injury during the attack is currently recuperating from the injury.
A former media aide to Wakkala, Yusuf Idris disclosed that the former Deputy Governor was shot in the leg and is currently receiving treatment in a medical facility in Kaduna.
He said, “He is responding to treatment very well. He is answering phone calls in his bed. I spoke to him and several other people spoke to him also. There is no cause for alarm.”
Naija News had earlier reported that bandit terrorists attacked the train on Monday night with 970 passengers on board.
The train which took off around 6 pm from the Idu train station at the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja on Monday was attacked 30 minutes to Rigasa train station in Kaduna.
The incident saw a female medical doctor identified as Chinelo killed in the incident which also left several others injured.
