A former President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Hon. Chief Agarase Idubor, has been voted into the Board of the Scout Association, which is the high Governing and Policy Formulation Organ of the Association. This goodnews was revealed in a Public Post made by the Veteran Youth Mentor and Animateur as contained and quoted below
“To the glory of God Almighty, on Saturday September 11, the Scouts of Nigeria VOTED me into the TWELVE-MEMBER National Scout Board at the just concluded AGM of the Association tagged “EDO 2021” held at the OBA AKENZUA 11 INTERNATIONAL SCOUT CAMP, OGBA, BENIN CITY.
The National Scout Board is the highest POLICY MAKING BODY on matters relating to Scouting in Nigeria.
I am the Immidiate past ASSISTANT CHIEF COMMISSIONER I/c of EXTERNAL RELATIONS, The Scout Association of Nigeria – 2018-2021.
Before my ELECTION into the National Scout Board, I have also served as:
- Edo State Scout Commissioner, 2012-2015.
- National Headquarters Commissioner, Youth Development – 2010.
- Chairman, Management Committee, Edo State Scout Council, 2002-2005.
- Edo State Headquarters Commissioner I/c Public Relations, 1999-2001.
I am a LIFE MEMBER of the INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF SCOUTING ROTARIANS.
** I am a past NATIONAL PRESIDENT of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, 1992-1995.
** FIRST CHAIRMAN, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Edo State Chapter – 1991-1992.
** The very LAST Chairman of the Bendel State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria – 1989-1991.
As President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, I represented Nigeria at several International Youth fora.
