Former Delta Lawmaker Denis Omovie Is Dead

Chief Denis Omovie, a former member of the Delta State House of Assembly, has died after a brief illness.

Naija News gathered that Omovie, who is also the Unuevworo (Traditional Prime Minister) of Ugboroke, Uvwie Local Government Area, died in Warri on Tuesday night.

The Unuevworo was a four-time member of the State House of Assembly representing Warri South Constituency II.

The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, at resumed plenary on Wednesday morning, asked lawmakers to observe a minute silence in honour of the deceased.

The House immediately adjourned in honour of Chief Denis Omovie who was a member of the State House of Assembly between 2003 and 2019.
