Popular skit maker, Abdulgafar Ahmad Oluwatoyin, better known as Cute Abiola has denied reports about buying a new car for the father of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad.
Naija News understands some earlier reports had claimed the comedian bought a new Lexus car worth N20 million for Mohbad’s dad, Mr James Aloba.
However, Cute Abiola has distanced himself from such action and labelled those behind the stories as mischief makers chasing clout with his name.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, Cute Abiola said he didn’t buy a car for Mr Aloba, neither did he promise the late singer’s father a car as speculated.
He said, “Let me debunk this rumour immediately. I never bought a car for Mohbad’s dad.
“And I didn’t even promise him a car talk less of saying I bought him a car… Buy car for Mohbad’s dad for what?”

Super Falcons of Nigeria forward, Asisat Oshoala, has paid tribute to Nigerian music sensation, Mohbad, who died in a mysterious circumstance in September 2023.
On Sunday, October 22, Asisat Oshoala ended her goal drought in style after failing to score in three successive games. She scored two goals in FC Barcelona’s 6-1 win over Granada in a Spanish La Liga women’s league game.
Oshoala, who played the entire 90 minutes of the game, got her first goal in the game in the 80th minute and scored her second goal in the 82nd minute.
While celebrating her first goal, the 29-year-old Nigerian striker raised her jersey to reveal a shirt that carried the picture of Mohbad on it.
