The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has confirmed the death of Mohammed Fawehinmi, son of late human rights lawyer, Gani Fawehinmi.
Naija News had earlier reported that the lawyer died on Wednesday at 52 years.
It was further reported that Mohammed died in an undisclosed hospital after complaining of difficulty in breathing.
Keyamo while confirming the development described the deceased as a brother, friend and son of his late boss.
He also described Mohammed as an energetic man, who is intellectually alert.
The minister wrote, “My brother, friend and son of my late boss, Mohammed Fawehinmi, is gone. I am speechless and heartbroken.”
“I just spoke with the eldest daughter Basirat and she confirmed it. Mohammed was energetic and very intellectually alert, despite his mishap. He kept the flame of his father burning. We will sorely miss him.”
