In an effort to find a lasting solution to the security challenges facing Nigeria, the African Youth Resource Centre (AYRC) and the Youth Partnership for Peace and Security (YPPS) have conveyed an Emergency National Youth Town Hall Meeting in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
In a Press Statement by the National Coordinator, Emergency National Youth Town Hall Meeting on Peace and Security, Ben Duntoye, the Town Hall Meeting with the Theme: “Youth Advancing Peace and Aiding Security; Time for Action is Now” aims at positively engaging the Youth in the fight against terrorism, kidnapping, banditry and also for national integration.
According to the National Coordinator, the Chairman of Governors’ Forum; Ekiti State Governor Dr. Kayode Fayemi is the Key Note Speaker, while Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello is the Chairman of the Town Hall Meeting. Bayelsa State Governor Sen. Duoye Diri and his Ebonyi State counterpart, Chief Dave Umahi will be Guests of Honour.
The Royal Father of the event is His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ooni of Ife while the Honorable Minister for Youth and Sports, Chief Sunday Dare is the Host.
The statement said the meeting holds on Wednesday 25th through Thursday 26th August 2021 at AFLPM Hall, Institute of Peace and Conflict Resolution, Abuja by 9.00 am daily.
