Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has questioned the decision of the Zamfara State Deputy Governor Mahdi Aliyu Gusau to remain with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This is against the backdrop of the recent defection of the State Governor Bello Matawalle from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Naija News, however, reports that the Deputy Governor refused to defect to the APC, neither did he resign from his position.
But Fani-Kayode on Tuesday, questioned the decision of the Deputy Governor not to follow his principal to the APC.
According to him, the refusal is a sign of disloyalty and betrayal.
He wrote: “When a Governor decamps from one party to another shouldn’t his Deputy go with him? Is that not what loyalty is all about?
Against his better judgement @Bellomatawalle1 picked you as his running mate & made you Deputy Governor & now you undermine & betray him?”
