Former Real Madrid manager, Fabio Capello believes that three of the club’s stars have the potentials of winning the Ballon d’Or.
The three Real Madrid players Fabio Capello mentioned include Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham. They are arguably the most prominent players currently wearing the white jerseys of the Spanish giants.
In the last edition of the award, Vinicius was very close to winning it but ended up finishing as a second runnerup. Mbappe and Bellingham finished in the top 6.
In the forthcoming edition, they are not seen as major contenders but they have a chance of finishing in the top ten.
In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport (via AS), Capello stressed that the trio are the players to watch as far as the prestigious award is concerned.
“Vinicius, Mbappe, and Bellingham are three potential Ballon d’Or winners”, the former England coach said.
In the forthcoming edition of the Ballon d’Or, FC Barcelona duo, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha are seen as major contenders for the award. But most pundits believe that Ousmane Dembele and Vitinha who led Paris Saint Germain to win their first-ever UEFA Champions League stand a better chance.
Another major contender for the award is Egyptian forward, Mohamed Salah who led Liverpool to win the English Premier League this season.
