‘Having joined from Benfica last September, Dias’ new deal will keep him at the club through until the summer of 2027,” the statement added.
Delighted with the contract extension, Dias said he was happy City was able to make sure it happened.
Dias said: “It means a lot and it speaks for itself. I am very happy, and I am also very happy that the club felt the confidence to do it,”
“The club wants to be the best and that is an ambition I love and want to be a part of. I share the ambition of the club and that is probably one of the most important things.”
He added in a tweet: “Delighted to extend my stay after a great first year in Manchester.
“Thank you to everyone who has made me feel so at home.
“Now we look forward. The work has only just begun.”
