EPL: Manchester City Score Six As Crystal Palace, Brentford Shine, See Other Results

After Manchester United started the 2023-2024 EPL Matchday 11 with a slim win over Fulham, the five games that took place simultaneously afterward recorded baptism of goals.

The goal rush was heavy at the Etihad Stadium where Manchester City hosted Bournemouth. It was expected that the EPL reigning champions would beat the struggling Bournemouth but not with a 6-1 scoreline.

Goals from Jérémy Doku, Bernardo Silva, and Manuel Akanji gave Manchester City a 3-0 lead in the first half. Silva scored another goal in the second half. Also, Phil Foden and Nathan Aké added one each to seal the 6-1 victory as Luis Sinisterra’s 74th-minute strike was just a consolation for the visitors.

At Goodison Park, Everton ensured that Brighton didn’t leave with a maximum of three points after giving up an early lead to record a 1-1 draw. Vitaliy Mykolenko gave the lead in the 7th minute but they couldn’t hold on to it as Everton’s Ashley Young scored an own goal to gift their visitors the equalizer.

It was drama at Bramall Lane as Sheffield United scored a penalty in the 10th minute of additional time to grab a rare 2-1 EPL win over their visitors, Wolves.

Cameron Archer scored the opener for the hosts in the first half and the visitors grabbed the equalizer in the 89th minute via Jean-Ricner Bellegarde’s strike.

When Wolves fans thought they would leave Bramall Lane with a draw, frustrated Fábio Silva decided to kick the leg of George Baldock in the penalty box in additional time and earned the hosts a penalty which Oliver Norwood converted to grab the unexpected EPL victory.

Crystal Palace were the only side that recorded an away win this afternoon apart from Manchester United as they beat Burnley 2-0 at Turf Moor.

The first first-half goal from Jeffrey Schlupp and second half goal from Tyrick Mitchell were what the visitors needed for the maximum three points.

At the Gtech Community Stadium, it was rain of goals from both ends as Brentford beat their visitors, West Ham United 3-2.

Mohammed Kudus led what looked like a comeback when he scored the equalizer in the 19th minute. Jarrod Bowen gave the visitors the lead in the 26th minute.

West Ham United went into the first-half break with a 2-1 lead but the music changed in the second half courtesy of their player, Konstantinos Mavropanos who scored an own goal in the 55th minute.

The 22-year-old Irish defender, Nathan Collins, sealed the EPL victory for Brentford in the 69th minute.
