Enyimba’s technical adviser, Stanley Eguma, expressed his satisfaction with the pivotal role played by former Super Eagles forward Brown Ideye during the team’s impressive 4-1 victory against the Mozambican side, Black Bulls FC.

In the CAF Confederation Cup Group D match which took place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Sunday, Brown Ideye showcased his scoring ability by netting Enyimba’s third goal, further solidifying his reputation as a critical asset to the team.

The match also saw Joseph Atule delivering an outstanding performance, securing a brace, while Ifeanyi Ihemekwele contributed to the scoreline with another goal, demonstrating the squad’s attacking prowess.

Eguma remains optimistic about Ideye’s potential to contribute further as he adjusts to the team dynamics.

“Brown Ideye is recognized as a household name in football,” Eguma told reporters after the Confederation Cup game in Uyo.

He acknowledged that although Ideye may not yet be at peak fitness due to his recent arrival with the squad, he believes that with time and experience, he will seamlessly integrate into the team.

“This is a gradual process,” the former Rivers United coach said, “and I am confident that shortly, he will elevate our performance by adding even more goals and assists to our campaign.”
