A man and his wife have been crushed to death on their way from their farm in Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The unfortunate incident, which occured around 3 pm on Sunday near the Abaji General Hospital junction, involved a Mercedes Benz car and a motorcycle.
According to Daily Trust, the victims, Musa Baba and his wife, Fatima Baba, were knocked down by the vehicle while heading back home.
While Musa died on the spot, his wife passed away at the hospital where she was rushed to.
The victims have since been buried according to Islamic rites.
Deputy Imam of Abaji Central Mosque, Ishaq Baba Tsana led the funeral prayers of the duo at the Abaji Science Primary School.
A community leader, Yahaya Musa Muhammad (ARADA) condoled with the family of the deceased and the entire Bassa Community Abaji, over passing of the couple.
Dr. Musa prayed to Allah to repose the souls of the victims and grant them Jannah.
He also prayed to Allah to comfort their family, friends and the entire Bassa Community, Abaji Area Council.
He said, “We will continue to pray Allah to forgive them of their shortcomings and grant them an exalted place in Jannah.”
