Chelsea To Face SC Braga Or Servette FC In Europa Conference League Play-offs

Potter's Possible Replacement At Chelsea Revealed

Chelsea will face the loser of the Europa League tie between SC Braga and Servette FC in the Europa Conference League play-offs.

SC Braga and Servette FC will face each other in the Europa League qualifiers on August 8, and play the return leg on August 15.

The winner will progress to the next round of the qualification series, while the loser will drop to the Europa Conference League where they will face Chelsea.

The first leg of the Europa Conference League play-offs will take place between Chelsea and the loser on Thursday, August 22, followed by the return leg one week later.

UEFA confirmed this development on Monday, August 5.

Recall that Chelsea finished sixth in the Premier League last season. Initially set to play in the Europa League, Manchester United’s FA Cup win over Manchester City resulted in the Blues dropping into the Conference League tournament instead.

Meanwhile, contrary to viral reports, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claimed that Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher is yet to travel to Madrid, Spain, to complete his deal with Atlético Madrid.

Earlier today, Naija News reported that Gallagher has agreed to join Atletico Madrid for a £33.7 million deal after initially refusing to do so.

Following that report, Mail Sport reported that the 24-year-old England international is expected in Madrid today to complete the transfer process.

However, Romano took to his X page to confirm that the midfielder hadn’t travelled as there were other details of the deal that must be completed before he could embark on the journey.

He wrote: “Despite reports, Conor Gallagher has not travelled to Madrid yet as there are some formal steps to complete.

“Chelsea and Atléti, in touch to prepare documents to sign €40m deal and let Conor fly to Spain.

“Gallagher said yes to Atléti, as exclusively revealed.”
