A former presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, has reacted to the call by the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), that its members in the Southern States should vacate the region and return to the North.
Giving his analysis of the benefits in the North which according to him Nothern governors never took advantage of, Garba said cattle business is more valuable and profitable than oil and gas reserve which all eyes have been on in the Southern region.
Naija News reports that the Bauchi State chapter of MACBAN had asked all its members to vacate the 17 states in Southern following a resolution by Southern Governor to ban open grazing in their region. The resolution was made public after the governors’ had deliberated for hours during the weekend in Asaba, Delta State.
Reacting to the development, Garba said in a post on his verified Twitter handle said: “I perfectly agree with this proposal. All Fulani present in Southern Nigeria should come back. We shall use the cattle, process the resources, and sell all over the world as finished goods.
He added: “Cattle have more economic value than the entire oil and gas reserve we have in Nigeria. Our major stakeholders in the North must admit cows as business opportunities not just culture & invest heavily to bring #CowToCurrency to reality. Cows alone can solve all Northen problems.
Meanwhile, Adamu Garba had earlier taken to his social media page to slam Nigerian youths over-involvement with Crypto. Garba wrote saying that Nigerian youths should be ashamed of themselves to see President Itno who is almost a grandchild to Buhari as president of a country and yet want to focus on crypto, Naija News reports.
