President Muhammadu Buhari is yet to arrive at the National Convention of the All Progressives Congress as delegates wait at the Eagle Square.
The arrival of the President will mark the official commencement of the National Convention of the ruling party.
Delegates at the convention ground are expected to elect zonal executive officers.
President Buhari is expected to arrive at the convention by 3:15 pm according to the programme for the convention released on Friday.
Delegates to the convention are: serving governors, ex-governors, senators, state chairmen, local government chairmen, members of the state Houses of Assembly, members of the House of Representatives elected on the platform of the party.
Some of the VIPs and delegates who have arrived the venue of the convention include Secretary of APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee Senator John Akpankudohede; Governors Dapo Abiodun, Ogun; Yahaya Bello, Kogi; Abdullahi Sule, Nasarawa; Abubakar Sani Bello, Niger; Kayode Fayemi, Ekiti.
Others are ministers of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio; Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed; a former military governor of Borno State, retired Colonel Abdulmumin Aminu; a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode; Sen. Ita Enang; Abike Dabiri-Erewa; and former Governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim.
