Nigeria’s former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, has advised Nigerians to hold President Muhammadu Buhari responsible for anything that may happen to Christians and churches in Sokoto State.
The former minister made the statement on Saturday following the violent protest that erupted by some Muslims demanding the release of those arrested by the Police in connection with the gruesome murder and burning of Deborah Samuel for alleged blasphemy.
The Soko State government had declared a curfew to quell the uprising.
Reacting, the former presidential aspirant via her verified Twitter handle declared that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, Buhari, should be blamed for the brewing carnage.
She said, “Here’s the thing. The individual with ABSOLUTE ACCOUNTABILITY for anything done to Churches and Christians in Sokoto is the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces #DefenceInfoNG #HQNigerianArmy #PoliceNG and DSS.
“The world and citizens of Nigeria are watching, #MBuhari.”
