Breaking: Super Eagles Keeper, Okoye To Miss World Cup Playoff

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye will miss Nigeria’s match against the Black Stars of Ghana in FIFA 2022 World Cup playoff.

The development was disclosed by Super Eagles on its Instagram account on Tuesday afternoon.

The National team also announced Okoye’s replacement, John Noble.

The post reads, “Maduka Okoye out of the clash against Ghana due to illness, he has been replaced by Enyimba FC goalkeeper, John Noble. Get well soon Maduks! #soarsupereagles.”

The Super Eagles will clash with Ghana on Friday in the first leg of the World Cup playoff at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

The Nigeria National team will then host Ghana in the return leg on Tuesday at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
