Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola, better known by his stage name, Naira Marley has returned to Nigeria.
The controversial singer disclosed the news about his return in a post on Tuesday via his account on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter).
Naira Marley vowed to assist the security agencies with the ongoing investigation into the death of his former record label signee, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad and according to him, he would be meeting with the Police with the hopes of uncovering the truth.
Marley emphasized that justice must prevail.
“I’d like to share that I’ve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation. It’s important I do my part for Imole. I’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail,” he wrote on the micro-blogging platform.
Naija News recalls Mohbad died suddenly under controversial circumstances on September 12, 2023.
His death sparked outrage both on and off social media with some persons accusing Naira Marley and some others of likely involvement in the death of the fast-rising singer who died at the age of 27.
Naira Marley however denied any involvement in the death of Mohbad and vowed to clear his name and that of his record label.
