Chima, a Nigerian vocalist, has been crowned the champion of the ninth season of Nigerian Idol.
The announcement of his victory took place during the finale of the show on Sunday.
Naija News understands that three participants, Chima, Lammy, and Chioma, advanced to the last round of the Nigerian Idol season 9 and performed their songs on Sunday to demonstrate their eligibility for the prestigious award.
Nigerian Idol, the local rendition of the globally renowned Idol series, concluded its latest season on Sunday (today) with Chima smiling home with the grand prize.
Naija News recalls that the previous edition of the Nigerian Idol was won by Victory Gbakara.
Nigerian Idol has been a popular platform in the country since its debut in 2010, marking the country’s 50th anniversary.
