Former first lady of Anambra state Ebelechukwu Obiano has shared her side of the story following her fight with Ms.Bianca Ojukwu at the inauguration of Charles Soludo as the governor of Anambra State.
Recall that Naija News earlier reported that Bianca opened up on the reason she slapped Ebele Obiano at the inauguration ceremony.
Bianca in an interview with Arise TV disclosed that Obiano’s wife was absent at the beginning of the inauguration ceremony, only to arrive hours later.
She noted that Ebele upon her arrival walked towards her and verbally attacked her with her voice raised.
According to Bianca, Ebele also questioned her presence at the inauguration ceremony, asking if she was there to celebrate their last day in office.
The former ambassador disclosed that she warned the former governor’s wife to stay away but she tried touching her head to remove her headtie.
Bianca said it was at that point she slapped Obiano’s wife to stop her from attacking her.
However, Mrs. Obiano has given a conflicting account of the situation.
According to a statement released by Ebele Obiano’s spokesperson, Chidiebele Obika, Obiano said all she did was approach Bianca for their normal friendly banters, but was slapped and pushed away.
She wondered what brought about “so much anger and hate” that would cause a former diplomat to be unable to “manage herself in public”.
She said she did not bother to return the slap instead walked away in utter bewilderment.
