Real Madrid midfielder, Jude Bellingham will be out of action for nearly three months after undergoing successful surgery on a recurrent left shoulder dislocation.
Bellingham, 21, went under the knife in a procedure performed by Doctors Manuel Leyes and Andrew Wallace, with Real Madrid’s Medical Services overseeing the operation.
The club confirmed Bellingham has now begun his rehabilitation process, marking the start of his journey back to full fitness ahead of the new season.
Bellingham has struggled with the shoulder issue throughout the 2024–2025 campaign, often playing through pain.
The decision to undergo surgery was reportedly made after medical assessments suggested the recurring dislocation could worsen if left untreated.
Meanwhile, veteran midfielder, Luka Modric has officially joined AC Milan on a one-year deal following his departure from Real Madrid. The 38-year-old Croatia captain, who wore the No. 10 shirt at Madrid, will don the No. 14 jersey at the San Siro.
Speaking on his decision to join the Rossoneri, Modric said staying in Europe was a priority.
“Why AC Milan? I wanted to stay in Europe, continue playing competitive football,” Modric told MadridXtra.
“I had some other offers, but when Milan showed up, it was clear for me. I was up for it from the first moment. It impressed me how they came to Croatia to present me with the project and everything. That was very important to me. Milan is one of the biggest clubs in Europe.”
Modric is expected to feature in Milan’s upcoming pre-season friendly against Arsenal next Wednesday as he begins a new chapter in Serie A.
