Be Patient With Tinubu, If He Does Not Perform, Vote Him Out – Lawmaker Tell Nigerians

"It Is Almost Better For The President To Have Kept Silent Than To Make This Kind Of Broadcast" - Protest Organizers Slam Tinubu

A member of the Federal House of Representative from Atakunmosa East, West/Ilesha East, West of Osun state constituency, Honorable Omirin Emmanuel Olusanya, has urged Nigerians to be patient with the Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

According to him, protests should occur at the ballot box by voting out the President if he fails to meet expectations over his four-year term.

He also criticized the eight-year tenure of former President Muhammadu Buhari, labeling it as unproductive for Nigeria.

Omirin expressed these views during the grand opening of Bojah World in Lagos, where he addressed the press.

According to him, the eight years of President Buhari was a waste for Nigeria.

The mess left behind, whoever, even if Jesus Christ becomes the President of Nigeria, especially at this crucial time, people will continue to complain,” he stated.

Illustrating the severity of the situation, Omirin noted, “We have not started implementing the 2024 budget. This is to tell you the situation at present. By next month, we are supposed to start preparing for the 2025 budget. Fortunately, I am a member of the Finance Committee in the House of Representatives. So, I know what is happening in the system as of today.”

Commenting on President Tinubu’s address to protesting youths, Omirin remarked, “What I know for sure, is that the President means well for Nigeria. But he may be incapacitated. If you are not there, you will not know it is a hot seat.”

As a member of the PDP, Omirin emphasized that the issue transcends party lines and is a national concern.

We need to pray, encourage him, and give necessary legislative support that can help the system,” he urged.

Omirin appealed to protesters to give the president a chance, noting, “There is a problem globally. Economic issues, challenges, throughout the world. The problem is that we did not save for the rainy day. That is exactly what is happening. But I still believe that Nigeria is a good place to live.

“Nigeria should be patient and give the present administration the benefit of the doubt. Our protest will be on the day of elections, let us allow the President to spend his four years so that he will not have an excuse. The next election is coming, if he does not perform to our expectation, vote him out.
