An All Progressives Congress, APC chieftain has been killed by armed bandits in Nasarawa State.
Reports reaching Naija News at this time confirmed that the politician was shot dead along Keffi-Akwanga road in Nasarawa.
The deceased, Alamkah Dominic Usman, was the party’s chairmanship candidate for Kachia Local Government in Southern Kaduna. Reports had it that he was attacked by the bandits on Monday while travelling to Benue State.
Usman according to a statement released today, will be buried on Thursday, July 29.
Meanwhile, Local Government Elections in Kaduna has been scheduled for Saturday, August 14. The Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KADSIECOM) made this known in a statement on Wednesday, June 2.
Ibrahim Sambo, the Acting Chairman said the polls will be conducted between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The election of Chairmen and Councillors in all the 23 Local Government Areas was earlier fixed for Saturday, June 5.
Naija News reports that the exercise was earlier postponed due to non-arrival materials ordered from outside Nigeria.
