Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have attacked a community in Abuja, abducting no fewer than six persons.
According to Eons Intelligence, the attack occurred during the early hours of Wednesday at Kuje Area Council of the FCT.
It was gathered that the gunmen attacked residents at their homes around 3:00 a.m. and whisked them away with their victims to an undisclosed location.
The bandits abducted their victims from six different homes they invaded during the attack.
Confirming the attack on Wednesday, the FCT Police Command spokesperson, Mariam Yusuf told PeoplesGazette that four people were abducted during the attack.
“Yes the command is aware of the case. It was four people that were kidnapped please.”
“We have launched an operation to rescue the victims and apprehend the fleeing suspects,” Yusuf said.
Meanwhile, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Wednesday debunked the report that the Nigerian Army and police in a joint operation killed 16 operatives of the Eastern Security Network in Abia State.
The group challenged the security agencies to disclosed the exact camp of the ESN it attacked and release videos and photos of their operations.
IPOB in a statement released through its spokesman, Emma Powerful, noted that military source who told SaharaReporters that they had killed ESN on Tuesday were lying.
Powerful accused the security operatives of killing innocent Nigerians and claiming they are members of the ESN.
