Meanwhile, six Barcelona players, including England international, Marcus Rashford, are yet to be registered for the upcoming LaLiga season due to the club’s ongoing financial issues, according to a report by SPORT.

Rashford joined Barcelona this summer from Manchester United on a season-long loan, with an option to buy for €30 million at the end of the campaign. However, like five other players, his registration is currently pending approval from the league.

This is not the first time Barcelona have faced such problems. Last season, players Dani Olmo and Pau Victor were given temporary licences that LaLiga later revoked during the January transfer window.

Despite the setback, Barcelona president Joan Laporta remains confident all six players will be registered before the season begins.

“It’s progressing well,” Laporta told ESPN. “We’re doing our job and we’re confident that we’ll be able to register everyone.”
