Former President Goodluck Jonathan and Ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar attended the wedding ceremony between Yusuf Buhari and Zahra Bayero held on Friday in Bichi Emirate of Kano State.
Naija News reports that Yusuf is the only son of President Muhammadu Buhari and Zahra is the daughter of the Emir of Bichi, HRH Ado Bayero.
The Minister of Digital Economy, Ali Isa Pantami, who got the couple wedded at Bichi Central Mosque, prayed for a successful union.
A popular and influential businessman, Alhaji Aminu Dantata gave out the bride on behalf of the Bayero family, while President Buhari’s nephew, Malam Maman Daura, received the bride on behalf of the president’s family.
Jonathan and Abubakar exchanged pleasantries amid smiles with the President, congratulating him on the wedding ceremony of his son.
Jonathan and Atiku, who ran under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), lost the presidential election to Buhari in 2015 and 2019 respectively.
