Nigerian football superstar Asisat Oshoala is on the brink of a new chapter in her illustrious career, as reports confirm her imminent transfer from Bay FC to Saudi Women’s League side, Al Hilal.

According to The Athletic, Asisat Oshoala touched down in Saudi Arabia on Monday to undergo medical examinations, marking a move just one and a half years after joining Bay FC.

The forward’s absence was felt during Bay FC’s 2-1 defeat to Angel City on Monday night, as she was not part of the matchday squad.

“Bay FC and Al Hilal reached an agreement on an undisclosed transfer fee, and Oshoala is now in Saudi Arabia ahead of a medical scheduled for tonight (Monday),” the report revealed.

The 30-year-old joined the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in February 2024, signing from European giants Barcelona Women.

During her stint in the United States, she made 38 appearances for Bay FC, netting eight goals. Her on-field involvement has dipped since last season.

Oshoala’s journey in football has spanned multiple continents, having played for top clubs in Europe, Asia, and the USA. She also played a pivotal role for the Super Falcons in July, helping Nigeria secure a record-extending 10th WAFCON title in Morocco.
