Nigerian content creator, Amarachi Amusi, popularly known as Ashmusy, has responded to comments from people who claim she looks older than 30.
Naija News reports that the reactions followed her 30th birthday celebration on Friday.
Shortly after sharing her age, several social media users began arguing that she appears older than her stated age.
Ashmusy responded by saying the perception has nothing to do with her looks but instead with how long people have watched her grow and succeed online.
She said that being in the public eye for years, building a business, evolving in the spotlight and staying relevant can make people forget she is still young.
She said: “I see a lot of people arguing my age aggressively and I find it funny.Wait, I’m supposed to be 40 or 50 years old? Even with the 30, I’m still in disbelief. Anyway let’s be honest, this has nothing to do with my looks, it’s just your mindset of me, how you have watched me grow, hustle, evolve, achieve mighty things.. so that eyes makes you see me as advanced Please 30 is old enough Haa Anyway, instead of stressing, how about I help you make money and achieve those things too?.”
Ashmusy began her content creation journey in 2018 and quickly built a strong fan base with her relatable and funny videos.
