English Premier League club, Arsenal FC has reportedly offered Seria A club, Inter Milan, two players in exchange for their forward, Lautaro Martinez.
Naija News understands that the 23-year-old Argentine professional footballer was impressive for Simone Inzaghi‘s side last season.
Though Inter is said to be willing to only accept a £65million cash offer for Martinez and do not want either of the gunners’ players, Pete O’Rourke on the Football Terrace podcast, reports that Arsenal included Hector Bellerin and Alexandre Lacazette in a player-exchange deal.
Martinez had scored 17 goals for Inter Milan last season and helped the club to win their first Serie A title since their all-conquering 2010 side.
It is, however, uncertain if Arsenal would be prepared to pay the fee upfront, having just spent £50million to sign Ben White from Brighton this season.
Meanwhile, English Premier League (EPL) champions Manchester City on Thursday announced the signing of Jack Grealish on a six-year deal.
Naija News reports that the 25-year-old midfielder joins from Aston Villa, having made 213 appearances over the course of eight seasons, scoring 32 goals and assisting 43.
Grealish played an important role in England’s run up to the just-concluded Euro 2020.
